Yes, I support this; just as I support them getting off on Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving, etc. These are federally mandated holidays, just as this National Day of Mourning is.
Again, if you want it different, work to change it. Take away from the government the ability to designate these days - (I think in this case it’s the Executive Branch; and while YOU may think so, I’ve never thought of Trump or any president as a ‘Monarch’).
While you’re at it, abolish Memorial Day, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day...after all, idealogical purity demands that the mail must be delivered Every Day!)
Of course you do. It was a rhetorical question.☺
And I noted you're comparing Christmas again to Bush dying. Very odd.
Btw, everyone knows these government employees get all kinds of days off paid. This is no secret...And you're here supporting it!☺
Btw, would you support private sector workers getting all those government paid holidays as well, if the government sponsored/subsidized it?
I just find it amazing for the government post office, an entity which delivers 200,000 tons of non-solicited, unwanted junk mail, you're all for paying these government employees not to work!
And ya say it's all good because it's tradition right?
