No, Republicans believe in personal charity. Dems on the other hand, believe in Govt charity and tend to be quite uncharitable personally. Trust me, I have observed this phenomenon repeatedly over the years. Of course, there are exceptions, one of the most personally generous people I know is a gentleman who is liberal democrat to the core and then there are Republicans, some who frequent this board, who appear to be the most uncharitable people imaginable. What you need to understand, is that being a conservative, does not mean that since you have yours, you should not be charitable towards those less fortunate, you don’t have to, of course, but you should, and if you show compassion toward others, that certainly does not mean you are a democrat. Also, being a conservative DOES NOT MEAN supporting the disenfranchisement of half of the human race, even if their creeds, colors, races, or political philosophies are different than yours just because what is found or not found in their nether regions under any circumstances what so ever. If you do, then you are not a classical liberal, which I believe, is who conservatives truly are in the western world.
