RIP.
Thanks for the ping, nutmeg.
Condolences to the family of Mr. Sherwin.
Deepest Regards

Rest in peace. I always enjoyed the Paul and Phil TdF commentary.
There is an especially good tribute to him written by Jason Gay at the WSJ. It’s probably behind a firewall but for those of you who have a subscription, it’s well worth reading.
Thanks for the ping nutmeg. I follow him and Phil on twitter and was so sad to see Phil’s heartbreaking tweet this morning. So sad. They were my favorite part of the TdF. Prayers to Paul’s family and friends and prayers for Phil Ligett.
His parents lived there form when he was seven years old and after he reired he moved back there...it was home to him.
Phil Ligget also spends winters in Africa...South Africa.
I will miss him so much. I’ve watched every TDF for the last 20 years and they were a great team. The absolute best.
He was the consummate professional with an encyclopedic knowledge of the routes and the racers.
Has BayNative been pinged?
Ed
Oops, I asked if you had been pinged. I didn’t notice your post as I tend to post quickly without reading all posts!
By the way, do you know George Mount, the Olympian and 7-11 team member?
Ed
How do you know him?
I posted to a local chat group how sad I was, and Mount replied that he knew him.
I googled his name and found out what a personage he was in the world of bike racing.
It turns out that he moved to my town, Grants Pass, Oregon, and that he knew one of my co-workers, who was also big in the cycling community.
See ya’, take care.
Ed
Belated condolences. I have WCP tapes from the 80s & 90s.
So sad. I still can’t accept it.
