He's speaking of George H. W. Bush, not his son. Bush 41 had the wisdom to smash our enemy and leave, rather than occupy him in a never ending war. I served under both, and am thankful for the wisdom of the elder Bush. I suspect fighting in a war and losing so many friends influenced him significantly. If only GW had learned the lessons of his father.
