Antifa and others like them always show up at any protest. They are organized to do so...they know where protests are long before they are publicly announced.

Here...take a 3 part lesson....

“Start of a revolution” my eye. Just another frog standing on a corner with his hand out. This time, it’s free gas. They voted in a socialist government and they are perfectly happy with it, until it threatens their basket of freebies. A pox on all of them!

French and Euro politics is messier than that. There are more sides than that.

Macron does not represent the canaille of the left, or the Muslims. He is a corporatist, a creature of the government-corporate alliance that has run France and Europe for decades.

I wonder if Antifa hasn’t infiltrated. Or the commies? Looks like Antifa with masks and trashing places.

The flag and the finger have been seen before.
Some of these cases, the people had a point.

Perhaps this will lead to another 18 Brumaire.

The article is big on pictures and small on the exact reason for the riots.

They would be better off under Hitler.

Funny you would say that.

I was just wondering if this turned into an actual revolt, would Merkel invade "to restore the peace"?

You loose control of any protest as well as whatever message when you or it’s taken to violence and destruction. THAT is what negates their cause.

Started out as a gas tax increase protest (substantial tax increase, global-warming related dontcha-know!) by the middle-class “little guy” working stiff...police got a little heavy handed then the Antifa types joined in...now chaos.

“Some 280,000 yellow vests took part in a first day of protest on November 17th, blocking roundabouts and motorway toll booths nationwide. Less than half that number took to the streets on November 24th, when a protest in Paris took a particularly violent turn after troublemakers infiltrated the event.”

"in a movement against fuel prices and high living costs" is what it says. We know Muslims have been doing that anyway. Do you know how much a gallon of gas would cost you in France? About $8.

Yes, to a degree.

But that is because Macrons owners assumed things would go better than they actually have, and by now even they know they have painted themselves into a corner.

They don’t WANT the consequences they are getting. They wanted cheap labor and dutiful voters, but instead they got an expensive mess.

The French establishment knows its made huge mistakes, but is not willing to admit it.

These riots have been going on periodically in Paris since the 1960’s. Radicalism is a hobby there. When I was there about 15 years ago these pinkos had forced a McDonald’s to close because it was imperialist or something. I don’t recall the exact reason but it was boarded up and out of business.

What would Merkel use to invade? Believe both Germany’s tanks are broke down.

This is nuts. They have no problem with a muslim horde walking in and taking over their country and raping their women, but a new gas tax? Well, that’s going a bit too far.
