......” Macron promised that protesters would be ‘held responsible for their acts”......

Well that will depend on who is paying them I suspect.

Don’t believe this is the work of The Left this time. More like followers of le Pen.

It’s not that easy. France’s cultural schizophrenia begets mobs. Most French people are nationalist at heart, but Leftist in practice. Many of the protesters are the right, but many are left.

The violent agitators are the usual suspects. Leftists will join any violent protest, claiming to be for the “common man,” and a smaller group of right wing zealots also welcome violence. The globalists support extremists on both sides—they win when nations fail.

According to news reports, gasoline prices in France are already 3 times those in the US, and now they are being asked to pay higher taxes on it as well. How would we react???

It is getting more and more expensive to live as middle class citizens in France. That working class is voicing their frustrations with many things even though it started out as a protest of the fuel tax increase.

The Protests focus on weekends because most of the protestors work for a living.

The anarchists black block seem to have every day free to cause trouble and like to mix in with the others and hide in plain sight.

No president is perfect including our own IMO but a general turn to the right which supports limited immigration and respect for the working class is a good thing.

...............

The Italian interior minister Salvini has been a breath of fresh air in an Italy which was being overrun by the African aliens. He has tried hard to enforce the will of the majority of citizens who want a stop to it and that is a step in the right direction. Italy is joining the USA, Australia, Israel, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary in rejecting the UN Migration Pact. That is a good start and Roman wasn't built in a day.

“...Paris rioters steal police assault rifle...”

No, no, no... you’ve got it wrong... When POLICE own them, they’re NOT “assault rifles” - they’re a Personal Defensive Weapons (PDW)”

NOW, since a ... peon... has it, NOW it’s an “Assault Rifle”. This is Lib-Speak World after all....

Just sayin ... :^)

Are f’ing kidding with that s—t? You understand that Schickelgruber just ABSOLUTELY LOVED him some muzzies? They weren’t THEM after all and in fact, had the proper idea for solutions (final or otherwise)...

That paper hanging piece of s—t in human skin would have let the muzzies overrun europe by 1960...

To liberals, true freedom falls under the definition of positive liberty, in which freedom is bestowed by the government in the form of material goods.

the elite are so ego maniacal I'm not sure they recognize their error. kind of like hitler in his bunker. or cankles in her vodka vault.

I’m more inclined to believe this is something akin to what the left had planned for us in the US... creating an environment where the people were disarmed and had no options left but to riot, therefore allowing the elite to bring the military against the people to clamp down. At least, that was Glenn Beck’s theory. It certainly sounded plausible by 2010.

Let’s hope ISIS doesn’t take advantage of both weakened sides and make France into an Islamic hellhole and anchor in Europe. If they do, we might have to reinstate the draft and rely on the snowflakes to defeat the rag heads!

.....”I wonder why many FReepers are sneering at this”....

Speaking for myself...their protest went way way beyond what would be called a protest to rioting, destruction and attacking police officers.

Further what began as a protest against tax’s ended up with every body’s grievances. And when this degree of violence Paris had, where you’re destroying your city and hurting people, you have lost entirely whatever message you were trying to make.

Additionally, the French voted for socialism so what did they expect....a free ride for all? Somebody has to pay for the system they also voted for.
