The more of these revolting exposes you read, the more clearly you will see the underlying monstrosity in Hollywood, as clearly as the hero of John Carpenter’s They Live sees aliens disguised as everyday people when he puts on the sunglasses.
Former CBS chief Les Moonves’s career had already ended in disgrace for repeated instances of alleged sexual harassment and assault uncovered last summer by The New Yorker. Yet until this week the board that fired him for preying on women was planning to beg His Majesty’s forgiveness for decoupling him from his kingdom, pressing into his hands a $120 million payoff.

The New York Times, with the cooperation of a washed-up talent manager who, at 75, decided to open his mouth about Moonves, reported on how the triangular sex trade works in Hollywood. This writer lol mistakenly quotes William Goldman’s famous quote “Nobody knows anything in Hollywood” which does not mean what this writer thinks... it literally means people in Hollywood are dumb or ignorant, it does not mean that they are feigning ignorance of criminal behavior ... “I don’t know nothin”.

I’ve heard it said that within Liberal circles, everyone is a hypocrite, everyone is a liar, everyone is out to take advantage of you because you’re a sucker. That’s just “normal”.
Then they see Conservatives who (theoretically) respect people, value morality, try to be responsible, and believe that feminine women are to be protected.
And the Liberals say, “Oh ho! You think I’m falling for that?? You guys must be the worst!! Such hypocrites! Such liars! I’m no sucker!! I won’t let you take advantage of me!! Liberals say everyone is a hypocrite and does not believe in the damaging nature of sin or that sin itself exists so instead of being there best self they indulge mans sinful nature. a conservative knows that they sinful and that sin is damaging and seeks not to sin knowing that he or she will fail and that failing is not hypocrisy but just are failing to live up to ideals.
While pervs like Weinstein and Moonves are certainly not anomalies, there are a lot of good people working in Hollywood, and it’s possible to have a good career without any of this kind of hanky-panky.

Exactly — they cease to believe in the possibility of good. It is easier to accept evil falling on you when you believe it is universal. It is a lot harder when evil happens to you but not someone else.
