Maybe. But now Microsoft is offering business customers who use Azure VMs free Server OS licensing. AWS cannot compete there. Microsoft also has 0365, which includes Exchange and SharePoint Online, Skype Business, and Enterprise Mobility in their cloud, which covers Iaas, PaaS and SaaS, something AWS doesn't offer, (which is just Iaas). BTW, Azure is only about 5% behind AWS is overall sales.

AWS competes perfectly! It offers the only server OS that matters these days - Linux - for no cost.

Anyone who's been developing server software for the last twenty years, and that had the slightest clue, has been developing it for Linux. Windows continues to be an impediment to the software world, and in general.
