If you don’t overturn that precedent, they can’t take anything back.

Sorry, your honor, separation of powers prohibits your ruling from having any affect.

“If you don’t overturn that precedent, they can’t take anything back.”

You mean the courts have to give up the power they seized way back when? Good luck with that...

Like I said, the courts don’t make law, they can’t change the Constitution and they’re not the final arbiter of what is constitutional...They offer an opinion.

The other issue is in areas near the border local and state law enforcement is actually given federal money for assisting with border enforcement issues. So is the federal government to pay them for not assisting when they don’t help due to sanctuary status?

So by your own logic sanctuary cities have every right to ignore immigration law because they don’t agree with it.

What’s that have to do with the courts?

The blue states are in open rebellion providing footholds for invading foreign nationals—illegal aliens. If we had an AG, they would’ve been prosecuted years ago for felony harboring said illegal aliens. It’s so bad now that the only way to curb this lawlessness is to send in the military.

And does the Federal Government go to court to force cities and States to comply with Federal law as interpreted by the Executive branch?

Sounds like the courts are involved with forcing the chief executive in a City or State to obey the law, which is what it has to do with courts. Federal courts.

“And does the Federal Government go to court to force cities and States to comply with Federal law as interpreted by the Executive branch?”

No. That was the way that IDIOT Jeff Sessions tried to do it—Take Mexifornia to court. The executive branch ENFORCES THE LAW not the fargin courts. And the executive branch doesn’t need the fargin courts to first ‘interpret’ the law in order for the executive to enforce it.

Well I guess now states can lower their drinking ages back down to 18, since the Federal Government no longer has the power to withhold Federal money to control their behavior.

Judge Edgardo Ramos is another one of those Obama judges that Chief Justice John Roberts does not believe exist. Judge Edgardo Ramos is just another Barack Obama stooge, continuing Obama’s goofy agenda. The democrats are trying to import more democratic voters to replace the black and Jewish people who are starting to wake up.

Yup, another Hispanic judge who rules based on his ethnicity rather than the Constitution. His type seems to permeate the judiciary, i.e. ruling based on thier ethnicity, their politics or ??? Everything but the law and Constitution

Judge Edgardo Ramos, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, said the government “did not have lawful authority” to make states alert federal agents when an undocumented immigrant is going to be released from state or local custody and allow federal agents to question immigrants in custody about their legal status in order for states and cities to receive funding.

Ignores that whenever an entity accepts Federal; funds, there are strings attached and one must imagine that obeying Federal Laws and not using the money for purposes of breaking Federal laws would be a valid string.
