Bingo. The fact Trump did not seem to realize this is my greatest disappointment in him.
I think he did. But recall the primary season blacklists, etc. Trump is not a career politician and did not have the support of his own party. He did not have a bench to draw new hires from and tried to make peace with the GOPe. That failed due to GOPe backstabbing, obviously.
Then, to top it off the first targets of the coup plotters where his loyalists. Flynn, Sessions, etc. POTUS has been hamstrung from the transition period and is doing the best he can.
