ROBESON COUNTY, North Carolina -- FBI agents and detectives found a body in Robeson County Tuesday afternoon while "following leads related to the search for 13-year-old Hania Aguilar," according to a bureau spokesperson. The area is where the FBI had previously asked the public for surveillance video to help piece together information about the teen's disappearance. "The body has not been positively identified, but investigators with the FBI, Lumberton PD, the SBI, and the Robeson County Sheriff's Office were following leads related to the search for 13-year-old Hania Aguilar when the discovery was made," FBI spokesperson Shelley Lynch said in a statement. On Monday, Nov. 5, the teen was forced into a stolen, green SUV while she was outside of her Lumberton home.

So sad. So many kids are missing. Jayme Closs is still missing and apparently LEO have no clues.
Is my memory going or was Lumberton the setting for “Blue Velvet”?
Any word on Karlie Gusé?
Nothing that I saw.
Thirteen-——God help us.
.
Right, then theres FBI Spokesman Lynch in the mix.
Candy Colored clown Frank...
I have a daughter that is about the same age. My wife and I make sure she is never alone.
When she was 10 I promised her that she would be getting a gun and training to use it when she turns 18, and it made her pretty happy.
This has been on the news every day here in NC. Someone caught a glimpse of the perp, but all they will say is that he was wearing yellow. Go figure.
I have a 13 year old Granddaughter. Can’t even think of that, don’t want to think of it.
the article at the link says suspected perp dressed in black with a yellow bandanna. I wonder whether that indicates gang affiliation.
In Washington State your daughter would not be able to obtain a concealed weapons permit until she was 21. Use of the weapon is confined to your property for the purpose of lawful self-defense, defense of others, or defense of property until she was 21.
No, they are still looking for her and the FBI is now on the case, which is bad news as the FBI only becomes involved in missing person cases if they suspect an abduction.
Why wait?
That doesn’t bode well. Still, kidnapped and alive beats dead of exposure. One can escape a kidnapper, but not the grave. Will keep fingers crossed.
I think the number missing across the US is staggeringly higher than a few dozen, or even hundred.
Lumberton has a serial killer. This young lady make victim #4.
Just a random news story for context.

I hope they find the guy that did it. Death to pedophiles.
It’s very common in that area to find several bodies as you search for one in particular.
Every time they find one, it sucks the air out of you till you find out whetjer or not it’s your loved one.
I’d rather they found her alive, of course, but it could be her. I hope and pray their wait is short.
They’re not going to describe the perp in detail - today, it is more important to protect a voting block .... errrr .... I meant - an upstanding minority citizen than to have justice.
Lumberton is not that big a city but has a lot of murders. Something is going on there.
