It's "cui bono?" in Latin. Francophones ask, "à qui profite le crime?" Whatever your linguistic leanings, the point is the same. If you're trying to figure out who committed a crime, figure out who benefits from it.
Let's apply the principle to the racially-charged Senate run-off race in Mississippi, in which the African-American Dem, Mike Espy, faces Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith. One day before today's election, two nooses are found at the state capitol.
So . . . who benefits? CNN's Joe Johns supplied the answer on this morning's New Day:
"The President defending Hyde-Smith, and directly attacking her challenger, the Democrat Mike Espy . . . The remarks coming hours after a pair of nooses were found at the Mississippi state capitol. Espy supporters hoping to turn anger into turnout."

The American mind is being slowly narrowed down into oblivion through the incessant drumbeat over racism.
During the weekends, I sometimes watch the Western channel, that shows nonstop Western movies.
Good bit of hanging going on, that is the way it used to be done, and in the Westerns the ones being hung are all white.
But now, a hangman’s noose is automatically associated with lynchings of blacks in the South due to the incessant brainwashing going on over the decades.
Since the nooses were found on the grounds of the state capitol, you’d think there’s a good chance that security cameras would have covered the culprit.
But it’s unlikely that he will be identified before polls close today. And in the meantime, as CNN reported, “Espy supporters are hoping to turn anger into turnout.”
That’s about the size of it. Scum of the earth, the democrat party.

But can someone tell me why would Cylde Smith say she would have front row seat at public hanging? Name one state that executes by hanging. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

The phrase has NOTHING to do with lynchings. Nothing to do with blacks, on the whole. Most killed were whites. But in modern America, a REPUBLICAN cannot say anything involving a black without being accused of racism, while a democrat can say anything they want and get a pass. And a black rapper can say anything without being attacked, unless it is “MAGA”...
