Supposedly, many of the new House members are “moderates.” Even still, I see no way Pelosi is going to allow, arguably, the most powerful judicial instrument progressives have, the 9th Circuit, to be neutered.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride...

I happen to believe that God loves to answer impossible prayers because He lives in the realm of what ‘seems’ impossible...He makes the impossible possible, by His might and power alone.

Not o get too preachy ere but Elijah was such. He had heard a voice, seen a vision, tasted a power, measured an enemy, and with God as partner, wrought a victory. He knew the mind of God. Therefore he, ONE man, strangled a nation and altered the course of nature.

The key of faith fits every lock, Elijah locked heaven, pocketed the key, and made Ahab tremble.... it is wonderful indeed when God lays hold of a man...I give God lots of room regarding our President.

My comment was at least a little sarcastic. Yes, time will dictate what will get done. The Dems of course have to horse trade to advance whatever agenda they have, which in my estimation would be nearly 100% politically motivated and have nothing whatsoever to do with good governance.

They will hold their hearings, because this is red meat and reward to their base. But as far as policy goes, what they say they stand for and what they are willing to do when they have the chance to do it are always two different things. Same for the GOP in that regard, to wit the failure to reform the ACA after promising it for 8 years.

SO whatever it is that ends up happening, to move the agenda both Trump and the House are going to have to trade each other “points”. The next two years will be almost all about 2020 election and almost nothing about governing.
