That was my observation from the last election. A lot of the Democrat contenders had criminal backgrounds, like Beto, yet the Democratic voters seemed to like that.

The approximate 1/2 of the citizens who pay no income taxes are only interested in electing representatives who will sustain or increase their welfare payments and other benefits. That is the only thing that matters.
