1. The state of the martyrs in heaven:

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. Revelation 6:9-11

2. The Apostle Paul writes to the church on his impending execution that it is better to be with Christ than to be on earth:

But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better..." Philippians 1:23

3. Jesus assures the repentant thief hanging next to him on a cross that he will join him in paradise immediately after death.

And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise. Luke 23:43

The counsel of God in its correct context, declares the status of John C. Notice the assertion that the martyrs were serving God, declaring His Word. If you have a problem with Scripture, then you have a problem with God, not me. It's between you and Him and nobody else. He is personal like that.

So, the Bishop over our churches in India (Agape Home Fellowship-International) posted this earlier on his Facebook page-“The churches of India respect you brother John Allen Chau (USA). RIP. We never say you went to a restricted place. Your last words really pain our hearts. Each drop of the blood of a missionary is seed, it will grow. Time will change everything. May God bless your family”

This man, Pastor Lal,is a man I’ve had to watch bury several friends who’ve died as martyrs. This is his opinion; the opinion of a pastor from India.

What has made this so upsetting for me is that in FR, when a liberal dies, we have people get nasty and we will have some come on and say to have respect for the dead. Yet, a man dies, who many (including the man I have set up as the bishop over the church I founded) view as a martyr and people call him all sorts of names and run his memory into the dirt.

Then we are told we are just supposed to respect that as some difference of opinion and even apologize for disagreeing with the way they did it. We will treat the memory of a dead liberal with respect but demand an apology for getting upset because people run the name of a martyr through the mud. It’s a SAD day when a dead man can’t get respected on FR. Can we debate what he did? I’m OK with that. We can even debate the “call.” What I don’t understand is anyone being OK with calling him a fool, an idiot and all sorts of other names and then demanding an apology for them because of their “different perspectives.”

If anyone here can for certain say they absolutely know 100% that he wasn’t called by God to go, then they can cast the first stone at his memory. Otherwise, they ought to stay silent. But if they throw that stone, they better make 100% sure they know the mind of Almighty God. If they are wrong, they will be the one making the apology and it won’t be to a few on a conservative chat room.

I don’t have a “problem” with Scripture, any more than I have a problem with any religious text in which I have no belief.

It’s a SAD day when a dead man can’t get respected on FR.

He committed a foolish, irresponsible, criminal act that got him killed.

Hence the response.

One of the most haunting texts in Scripture is when Paul gave his defense to King Agrippa in Acts, King Agrippa states, “You almost convinced me.” And there is no record of him ever coming to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Well, then I guess you just feel justified in mocking every Christian martyr in the first three centuries of the Christian church. They ALL committed criminal acts. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM broke the law and died because of it. "YOU can't worship Jesus here! You can't preach the Gospel here! If you do...we will kill you!" That is deserving of mocking in your world.

Congrats...you are no different than the Romans. Hail Caeser. Now go to the altar with your pinch of incense.

I would be hesitant judging this man. It is between him and his Lord. There are those on our forum who just do not believe in eternity, and for them, to lose your life is to lose everything.

This man has lost nothing. For all eternity he will wear a crown of glory. For all eternity, his murderers will be in the fires of Hell.

Let us be careful as we challenge young people regarding the call to missions. Do not give anyone the idea that on some foreign field somewhere there are multitudes hungering for God’s word. If you are willing to go, be prepared for what is really going to happen.

Just because someone calls themselves out as Christian doesn’t mean that they are SANE!!!

I doubt the guy could even speak their language!!!

This guy wasn’t a “missionary.”

He was a thrill-seeker wearing pretend “missionary” camouflage.

You have little knowledge of what a missionary is. Amazing how lost people try to instruct the church on how to live out the Bible, as if they valued the Scriptures or knew the mind of Christ.

Natives there have been inbred for centuries. No likely to find rational thinkers among the population.
