Roberts just signaled to the dems they have a friend on the Supreme Court. Sure hope one of the other left wing Justices retire soon so they can be replace with a normal and law abiding Justice.

Trump was right! Obama appointed judges all seem to be opposing whatever Trump is trying to do to protect the people of this country with regard to Immigration, abortion, etc.

Roberts is wrong about that. The whole 9th circuit is full of such waggle Justices who make law out of whole cloth, legislating from the bench instead of following the Constitution.
These radical judges are tearing the country apart,dangerously overpowering the executive branch in execution of its constitutional duties, such as protecting any state from invasion, as indicated in Article 4 clause 2 of the Constitution. That includes invasion by the so called “Caravan” of the present day.
He could have, and should have, ignored it as a political question and said that SCOTUS doesn’t get involved in political matters beyond adjudicating the cases before it.
Of course not, we now have two.
While many think the statement by Roberts was dumb or naive, I think his counter punch at the President proves just how political the judicial system is ...and that he knows it.
