Just remember - Indians with horses or pickups is cultural appropriation.
“...Director of Equity...” She’s an “EdD student”
Says it all: totally worthless.
Thank you.
And any that use twittter and facebook and ANYTHING else that was created by Americans.
What I’ve noticed lately that bothers me is these things are happening a lot in NON insane states like mine, NY.
I am not shocked to read this about NY or NJ or whatever.
But it’s Texas and NC and even Mississippi.
It’s happening all over the country and it’s insanity.
It was always comforting to think the south and lower midwest hadn’t lost their minds at least.
Now some are beginning to.
and the folks are not ALWAYS transplants.
Like those THREE judges in the same area who got booted in TX!! Three GOOD judges, from what it sounds like.
Geesh!
Yeah, but acquired expertise with the horses is what transformed the Comanchee from a sad, isolated Wyoming tribe on the brink of starvation to the most powerful tribe in America stretching from what is now northern Mexico and most of what is now Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico by 1800. It is why Santa Ana invited Americans to move into Texas in 1820 to serve as something of a buffer zone between the Comanchee and newly independent Mexico.
And Casinos!!!! At the moment, I am still waiting for The State of California to “approve” my assertion that I am the lone surviving member of a “long-lost" Indian Tribe so I can start construction on my new gambling casino on the “replacement tribal lands” that await me in downtown San Francisco! I guess when I start being chauffeured around in my newly acquired Maybach that may also be deemed to be a cultural appropriation” from the Nazis!
Nooo. Wistful Indians on horseback peacefully contemplating the plains is a timeless tradition. At least that's what tourist paintings in Sedona tell me.
