Arizona Supreme Court to hear case challenging Phoenix anti-discrimination law

PHOENIX - Arizona's highest court will hear arguments from a custom stationery business that believes a Phoenix anti-discrimination law violates their religious freedom.

The Arizona Supreme Court said Tuesday it will take the case between Brush & Nib Studio and the city.

Brush & Nib's Christian owners said in a 2016 lawsuit that the ordinance forces them to make invitations and other stationery for same-sex weddings under threats of fines and jail time.

I would sure love for one of these to get to the US Supreme Court now. I think we might get a great ruling, even put the brakes on rights according to your sexual preference.

This is the Democrat cesspool known as Maricopa County.

If you’re a Christian, good luck running a marriage-related business free of gay harassment.

Just for fun, ask a liberal if a dress designer should be forced by law to design a dress for Melania Trump.

They should misspell any invitations they don’t want to do.

“This is the Democrat cesspool known as Maricopa County.”

Not familiar with Maricopa County or Arizona, eh?

“Maricopa County has a long history of being a Republican Party stronghold. While the city of Phoenix leans towards the Democratic Party, along with some other small areas within the county, the rest of the county tends to vote heavily Republican. Every Republican presidential candidate has carried Maricopa County since 1948. This includes the 1964 presidential run of native son Barry Goldwater, who would not have even carried his own state had it not been for a 21,000-vote margin in Maricopa County. It is currently the largest county in the country to vote Republican. Since 1964, Democrats have only kept the margin to single digits three times–in 1992, 1996, and 2016.”

“Yeah I’m incorrect and fhat’s why they have Kristen Sinema, no?”

No. Maricopa County is NOT the reason Sinema was elected, and Maricopa County is NOT a Democrat cesspool. McSally performed below reasonable expectations in every county. There are a variety of reasons for that.

What part of “It is currently the largest county in the country to vote Republican. Since 1964, Democrats have only kept the margin to single digits three times–in 1992, 1996, and 2016.” do you not understand?

50,000 Nevertrumpers voting for Sinema but also Ducey is why McSally lost. McSally wasnt’t great, but she split Independents 50/50 with Sinema. Rs voted R, Ds voted D (w a higher turnout than normal) and Nevertrumpers voted D.

About 8% of AZ Rs are Nevertrumpers due to being morons and incessant Trump bashing McCain and Flake.

Actually, McSally fell short of Ducey’s total by over 195,000 votes. Lots of Mormons are NeverTrumpers, and they make up a relatively big percentage of the AZ GOP vote - and McSally was running to replace Flake, an old family Mormon forced out by his TDS.

She also had 6 weeks from when she won a bitter primary until voting started, while Sinema had 6 months of unanswered ads.

And McSally has the personality of a fish.

The extra 145,000 Ducey got were from his higher percentage of Independents. It was the Nevertrumpers that lost it for AZ because of McCain and Flake’s nonstop Nevertrumping for the last 2 years.

“The extra 145,000 Ducey got were from his higher percentage of Independents.”

Evidence? What I’ve seen suggests 12% of Republicans split their vote.
