Who died and made any and all Federal judges King/Emperor/Tyrant and Congress, having supreme authority over anything they want to stick their noses into?

Did I miss something in high school civics class? Three co-equal branches of the Federal government should be the Legislative (Congress), Administrative (headed by the President) and Judicial (Supreme Court).

Allowing one Federal Judge to overrule Congress or the President is the equivalent of allowing one Congressman to decree a new Federal law.

Insanity! How does Marbury v. Madison encompass this?

Not according to Occasional Cortex. It’s the house, the senate, and the executive.

“Sanction of the victim” comes to mind.

“How does Marbury v. Madison encompass this?”

Even Marbury vs Madison was a power grab for powers not listed in the Constitution.
