This is the new Civil War. It will not be conducted with guns, but with nullification of federal law by courts and States. Only problem is that the right is not engaged in the battle.
And don't forget election cheating. All of this is already going on but I think eventually it will come down to a shooting war, but I won't predict a timeline.
I see two possibilities to avoid it: 1) a semi-friendly split or 2) a "coming to Jesus" by the New York times. I'd say a 10% chance of the first one and a 0% chance of the second one.
