L. Todd Wood, just a tad bit late to the party.
I would say letting California (#CALEXIT) go would be a good start in relieving some of the political pressure. The other 49 would be so much better off without the communist state pulling us down.
But you would have to forbid emigration from Kalifexit to the other 49 states, because when they move there they vote for all the same policies and turn their new home into Kalifornia.
“The Left Wants To End America As We Know Her”
Yes Todd, they have been saying it since the 1920’s but no one took it seriously. It seemed incomprehensible that this powerful country could be taken down by a bunch of Marxist fanatics. After they took over the education system, the entertainment and News industry, as well as a major poitical party, it now appears they are on the verge of success. Their message is now mainstream. Those who oppose them are rapidly becoming demonized, silenced and made personna non grata in their own country. We are becoming like the Jews of Germany in the 1930s. Glad more and more people are starting to get it.
Homonyms are OK on the Interwebs.
Of course, there would have to be real border between the countries of the USA, Mexico and California. The 49 would then HAVE the political where with all to do it with out the Cali political boat anchor.
Kalifexit wouldn’t last long as an independent country. China would take it over in short order.
Of course, they do. A bit late, but welcome to the party.
The money was not stolen. It was never saved to begin with. Social Security is simply a camouflaged old age welfare system based on an ongoing intergenerational income transfer. The "trust fund" is an accounting fiction. The problem is that a substantial majority of people bought the lie, never bothered to understand the system, and therefore never bothered to think through the implications.
I harp on this because the best solution is today, as it has always been, to shift Social Security to a fully funded basis with real, individually owed investment accounts. The left denounces this as "privatization," which is another deception. The vicious irony is that a substantial majority of Americans believe that this is what Social Security was supposed to be, but the money was diverted to other purposes. The left defends the foundational lie with a cloud of secondary lies. But ask Americans if they think pensions, including Social Security, should be fully funded, and they will say yes.
In a healthy republic, the public schools would explain all this. Unfortunately, we do not live in a healthy republic.
To understand what a fundamental lie Social Security funding is, All you have to do is look up the first “official recipient” - Ida Mae Fuller.
During her lifetime she collected a total of $22,888.92 in Social Security benefits and paid in $24.75.
Where did the extra $22,864.16 come from?
There have been tens of thousands of Ida Mae Fullers!
And she and the others did nothing wrong! They just benefited from utterly cockamamie Social Security funding system! Its a Ponzi Scheme! It will collapse in its present form unless its put on a sound actuarial basis!
They already succeeded.
Many of us as Christians believe that Satan holds the seat and is the root of wickedness for this period of time. We know that he hates Believers in Christ and professing Jews. His hatred for them is murderous and he seeks their destruction. He uses wicked men and women as agents of their destruction. America is still to a degree the source of the Gospel truth...a light to the Nations. Ultimately, America, as we have known it from its birth as a nation, must be destroyed in order to stop the ministry of the Gospel....Islam and Communism are the active forces of evil to accomplish this end.
Igor Panarin
In the summer of 1998,[18] based on classified data about the state of the U.S. economy and society[19] supplied to him by fellow analysts at FAPSI,[2] Panarin forecast the probable disintegration of the US into six parts in 2010 (at the end of June start of July 2010, as he specified on 10 December 2008),[citation needed] following a civil war triggered by mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation. He forecast financial and demographic changes provoking a political crisis in which wealthier states will withhold funds from the federal government, effectively seceding from the Union, leading to social unrest, civil war, national division, and intervention of foreign powers.[2] Panarin sees the task of the world elite as not letting the USA follow the Yugoslavian model of disintegration; it is desirable that it follows the Czechoslovakian model of disintegration so that everything goes calmly and peacefully.[citation needed]
Explaining his theory in an interview with Izvestia, Panarin stated that “The U.S. dollar isn’t secured by anything. The country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche; this is a pyramid, which has to collapse. ... Dissatisfaction is growing, and it is only being held back at the moment by the elections, and the hope [that President-elect Barack Obama] can work miracles. But when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles.”[20]
I can understand implementing Social Security on a welfare basis in the middle of the Great Depression. But disguising it as "social insurance" while setting it up in perpetuity on a pay-as-you-go basis shouldered that foundational decision forward to future generations. This threw away the chance to build a fully funded system that, by the time it matured, would pay virtually all participants substantially higher retirement incomes. A fully funded system would also be inheritable, moving most American families into the investor class. And it would have made Social Security, which today is a fiscal albatross around our necks with a huge unfunded liability, into an enormous reservoir of investment capital.
These are huge prices to pay and in return for what? A short-sighted political vote buying exercise.
It's clear that leftists want to maintain the lie and ride Social Security into the ditch. At that point, with an unavoidable collapse looming, they will use the emergency to demand massive tax increases and probably a raid on private sector capital reserves in thrift savings plans. Another tool in the left's grand plan to destroy America as we have known it.
Read the book of Amos and see what God got angry at.
Rather, “Christian illiberality” is the oxymoron — and it’s because there are no false gods who have right to the title.
Read this carefully before knee jerking. I didn’t say government. I said Christian.
You are so ignorant about their role in illustrating what a Christian spiritual life looks like. You are clearly being an antinomian — one that says the spirit of Christ has no rules at all.
>>The rest of us have seen this plan for years. Why are you so behind the times?<<
Good question. But on the other hand, although many of us have seen this plan evolving for years, I’m not aware of any plan to actually defeat defeat the enemy that has managed to gain control of many of our country’s major institutions, e.g., the news media, the entertainment media, the intelligence agencies, the education systems, etc. Sad but true, as I see it.
