Fly Fishing at it’s finest. Casting that line in every direction is the key. You’re bound to hook something eventually. Maybe even an old boot that belonged to somebody famous. Just keep on fishing for Moby Dick.
That is an insult to fly-fishing, one of the most dignified forms of fishing! It’s more like snagging - where you throw a great big treble hook into every corner of water and just jerk (or in Mueller’s case, BE a jerk) over and over until you snag ANYTHING - and of course, you are really casting blindly -
Fly fishing is about clear targets, often casting to actual fish of the targeted species - There is actually some honor in fly fishing.
