You have to remember, when Trump was running before the primaries, the media was telling us Trump was going to drop out any day now, or by Thanksgiving, or Christmas, or End of January or before the first primary... I am sure Ted believed that so he was “friends” with Donald hoping that when he drops out he would inherit his supporters. That was Ted’s plan, it didn’t work out that way for him.
As for Trump, he let Ted think they were friends, until Trump didn’t drop out. To Trump that idea was that it was just one less Republican attacking him 24/7 and he could concentrate on knocking out YEB, Rubot 2.0, iCarly, Ben and the others.
Folks will know I’m not a fan of Ted. I ‘m not so much trying to rip him here as make a simple observation.
