They said it would be done in time. They said it was going to get done. It was a herculean effortand they failed. Broward County, Floridaa Democratic bastionhas been a problem child in the ballot counting process of the states elections. Palm Beach County, another liberal stronghold, isnt much better. The county was taking its sweet time counting the ballots. Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who had declared victory over incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson, sued them for their lack of transparency in the process. A judge later found that both counties' operations violated public records laws; they werent giving regular updates on ballots that were outstanding. With Scott leading with less than half of one percent, a mandatory machine recount was executed. Broward waited until Tuesday to start counting ballots. They supposedly finished on time today; Palm Beach failed to reach the deadline. Yet, now, were hearing they were two minutes late. All that work was done for nothing, as the recount tabulations were not accepted; the original unofficial results were used. In the gubernatorial race, Democrat Andrew Gillum only gained a voteon Republican Ron DeSantis, who still leads by a little over 33,600 votes. That election is over, but Gillum has refuses to concede (via Sun Sentinel):
Amid a dizzying whir of legal action, questions over uncounted ballots and the failure of two South Florida counties to meet the deadline, a machine recount produced little change in the overall results to three statewide races Thursday.

In the governors race, the recount showed that Democrat Andrew Gillum trailed Republican Ron DeSantis by 33,683 votes, a net gain of 1 vote for Gillum from the unofficial results reported last week. The margin was 0.41 percent out of more than 8 million votes cast, outside the 0.25 percent threshold needed for a manual recount.
Although the lead appears insurmountable, Gillum would not concede and called for counting to continue. He stopped short, however, of filing a lawsuit to demand that.

The machine recount in the Senate contest between Nelson and GOP Gov. Rick Scott saw Scotts lead grow by 41 votes, to 12,603 overall. Thats a margin of 0.15 percent, enough for a manual recount.
Scott urged Nelson to forgo the hand recount and concede the race.

U.S. District Court Judge Mark Walker chided the state and Palm Beach County election officials for not anticipating issues with the election.
We have been the laughingstock of the world, election after election, and we chose not to fix this," Walker said in court.
In Palm Beach, the countys Election Office was unable to complete a recount because of malfunctioning vote-counting machines. The county had to revert to its initial, pre-recount numbers as part of the new statewide results.
It was a heroic effort and we just completed uploading our Saturday results, as was required by law, elections chief Susan Bucher announced on Thursday as the 3 p.m. deadline passed.
Broward County election officials missed the deadline by two minutes, so state officials used their unofficial totals reported last week.
HOLD UP. Broward just said they were actually 2 minutes late so their first total will count, *not* the recount. Also the discrepancy of 2,040 votes was due to a "comingling of ballots," said Joseph D'Alessandro https://t.co/F9AT93lJsC Alex Harris (@harrisalexc) November 15, 2018
Basically I just worked my ass off for nothing," D'Alessandro said. He said the results didn't upload in time because he was unfamiliar with the website. Alex Harris (@harrisalexc) November 15, 2018
It came down to the wire for Broward, but they made it. "We are excited to be at this point," said Brenda Snipes. https://t.co/KrsTrPuzkU Alex Harris (@harrisalexc) November 15, 2018
The Senate race now goes to a hand recountand Broward continues to be a textbook case of incompetence in American elections.
That is because the results didn’t work out in the democrats favor.
it was intentional.
I would love to see video of these jokers sitting in the parking lot for about half an hour until the deadline was reached, then slowly getting out of their car and making their way to the desk where they can say, “We missed it?!?! Damn!!”
What a steaming Crock this whole circus has become!
Who didn’t expect this outcome?
another nationwide test run for 2020.
Total incompetence. I dont expect much from any Democrat, but one would think they could at least fix an election where they had nine extra days to find and create votes! The Senate runoff election in Mississippi will be a war! Mike Espy is already going heavy on the race card. We better have some election monitors in place there!
If Gov. DeSantis doesn’t have this fixed before 2020 he should resign. Enough is enough.
THAT is what others also say.
Too bad the US doesn’t have a Free Press willing to investigate and publish.
In Broward, the machine recount, BOTH Senate candidates LOST votes. Nelson lost 1,385 while Scott lost 606. Democrats are not stupid, they are crooked (Example:Hillary).
This is why we always have to actually win by landslides to counter the massive Democrat election/voter fraud.
Read in a comment on Daily Caller the probable reason. Those mysterious rental trucks were full of Republican ballots to be disposed of. Mission accomplished, there. However, forceful observation due to judicial orders made it impossible for Snipes to replace them all with Democrat ballots. Knowing the count would be short, Snipes pretended to miss the deadline by two minutes.
[That is because the results didnt work out in the democrats favor.
it was intentional.]
I would say you’re probably correct. The Democrats don’t want to be embarrassed with proof of an under-count on the Republican side.
It would make the look like cheaters....(cough)
So, they went for the 2-minute delay to claim - “Hey, we TRIED!”.
They didn’t do 30-seconds nor 1 minute late because they didn’t want it to possibly get in. Yeah, I’m adjusting my tinfoil because Democrats cheat SO OFTEN.
Nah, go for 2 minutes late....be CERTAIN it will be late.
“Hey, we TRIED!”
This is also an attempted narrative shift. Now when Nelson loses the recount they’ll complain because they were prevented from submitting their results due to unreasonable officials. “If they had only waited two minutes”, they’ll say, “they would have had our results. They’re trying to prevent every vote from being counted”.
Count on it. That’s the way the left works. They’ll flip things around and accuse their opponents of doing exactly what they’re guilty of.
The danger with that is that the count could be accepted even though it is a couple of minutes late, never mind the law. Then they would have to point out that it was late and should not be accepted. They might even have to take that to court.
We monitor other nations elections. Since our nation has become a 3rd world banana republic perhaps we should ask for monitors to observe our elections?
That’s not my first solution, I am praying to live long enough to do what needs to be done to make positive and lasting changes, My prayer is to see at least the beginning of the civil war.
Snipes looks the very PICTURE of bright, shining intellectualism there...
She should be in jail for election fraud.
But... Nope.
Every last person who works for the Broward Board of Elections ought to be held without bail on election fraud charges until everything gets sorted out by a lawful authority.
Clever, very clever. But intentional as hell.
But missing a deadline by 2 LOUSY MINUTES and boy oh boy they gotta STRICTLY FOLLOW THE LAW.
This is utter BULLSHIITE.
