The wacky conspiracy theorist in me is thinking that the dem machine really doesn’t want this flake on the debate stage with any of their serious candidates, or possibly running 3rd party to suck dem votes from the nut demographic.

I think it’s probably close to the truth if not dead on.
Think of how they treated Bernie. They certainly don’t want a repeat of that split in 2020.
Next time the anointed one (whoever he/she/it is) will have no competition in the primaries. The fix is in now assuring that.
