That's the problem, any splitting up probably goes right through the middle of each town. I'd rather just kick their ass and be done with it.

It will not be so clear as the North and the South the next time, it will be Americans v non-Americans (the latter being those who believe the Constitution is "fundamentally flawed" or can be ignored).

If such system could be worked out, and maybe it could the problem is that it would not last. The socialist/communist side would be broke and bleeding population very soon, productive people would soon be seeing the error of their ways and fleeing, while the nonproductive people would be headed toward the communist states. The communist states would soon be broke, the engine of production broken down, including agriculture, the dictators who rule the communist states would placate the people by telling them, via their state-controlled "free press" that the liberty states had gotten more than their fair share of fertile land, factories, money, etc., and that they needed to go to war and take what was "rightfully" theirs; and, by the way, the only reason the communist state was not working was because the whole country was needed to make communism work. Then, if the communist states were successful in taking over all the states, they would then be eyeing the entire continent. Communists are not peaceful and they are never content with what they have.

I think its time you start to think about moving back home.

This county is headed toward either a break up or a break down, and you better pray we can pull off a break up.
Because a break down leaves no room for a recovery as our country will become the subject of a forign occupation of several hundred million forign dependent rent seekers. That together with existing democrats will form permanent socialist super majority to supply them with everything they can loot from our pockets using the lawless state.

Over time after there is no more money to steal the country will resemble Latin America(where something like this has already happened), That includes periodic Civil wars and strife, as people fight greedy socialist for their rights. Ultimately it is a fight that will go on for hundreds of years because the population is too evenly divided on the very existence of property rights.

If you want freedom and prosperity there is only one solution, a compete separation with those in favor of property rights and individual freedom and personal responsibility on one side and those against on the other.
It has to be a inflexible border too for those on the left will quickly swam across to the right when they realize there is no money or future in socialist states even as they stubbornly hold on to their socialist desire for their neighbors hard earned property.
