Robert Mueller could be subpoenaed by Congress if the Trump Justice Department prematurely ends the special counsel’s investigation into Russian interference, the incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said Sunday.
“We could subpoena the final report. We could subpoena Mueller and ask him in front of the committee ‘what was in your final report?'” Democratic New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Nadler will take over as chairman of the House judiciary panel in January.
Nadler and his fellow Democrats have expressed concern that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker will stifle Mueller’s investigation, which is reportedly in its final phases. Mueller and his team have reportedly started writing a final report of the investigation, which has lasted 18 months.

While this sounds good to Democrats on the surface, if they get to ask Mueller questions, so do the Republicans. And that is the *last* thing they want.

First, no matter when he ends the witch hunt he will be subpoenaed and asked if Trump forced him to end it. Especially if the report clears Trump.
Actually I’m afraid if he “finds” something, like democrats find votes, there will be enough republicans in the Senate that will join the democrats to vote to remove him. The republicans are playing nice now. But they still would like to get rid of Trump.

The Senate can play the same game. And the president. The Senate should open investigations into the Clinton/Obama/DeepState shenanigans immediately and start sending criminal referrals as soon as possible to the DOJ for prosecution. Wonder how many top democrats and their big donors can be scooped up in the net?

How can Pres Trump overcome all that? The mid-terms proved that Republicans cannot or will not help him get re-elected.
