Her home is basically a hospital. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s already brain-dead and the demonrats are keeping her alive on machines.

When my aunt was ninety-two, she was playing cards with friends and started having chest pains, her friends called the squad in a small Ohio town. She had what she called a minor heart attack, and the next morning she actually called the firehouse (had lived in the same house for 65 years) and insisted they come and get her to take her home, which she did to circumvent her doting sons, so she could make her DAR meeting that day. They came and got her, she made the meeting and lived three more active years.

It just clicked with me that both my dad and grandfather died as a result of falls.

My grandfather was in perfect health. At about 90, he took no meds and walked about ten miles a day. He tripped one day, over nothing, just tripped. He was held in the hospital for several day and told not to walk for several weeks. Lost muscle tone and then the other stuff set in.

My dad was on a cruise and tripped. (found out after he died that he hit his head on a slot machine in the casino) Slow brain bleed did him in about a year later.

I hope Ginsburg does the right thing and retires.

I appreciate the link. I read a bit of it, but I don’t have the time now.

It’s my take that diet is far more important in elder care than is being recognized.

The staff of institutions don’t have the time to make sure elderly people eat, or drink.

This causes a very rapid decline in a matter of months.

If folks care about their parents, they should avoid institutionalization any reasoned way they can.

I observed it first hand this year, and I’m not here to attack these institutions. Their staff don’t have the time to feed patients or make sure they drink.

-—why did they admit her?-—

RBG is a justice on the SCOTUS. She gets the very best medical services available. She is a Very Important Person and is being treated as such

The medics can take no chance. That is, no chances at all

I’m not sure what you mean by that.

I’d be willing to address your take on things, but you need to spell it out a bit more.

She was admitted because it was expeditious to do so for caution. My guess is her staff called 911.

Does working from home mean she can’t hear any court cases...thus if the Florida election fiasco makes it’s way to the Supreme Court the libs would be down 5-3 ?

Did she walk out of the hospital? I bet that she is going to a hospital bed in her home or at a skilled nursing facility.

Or Chelseas apartment

Working from home, working from the office, it really doesn’t matter because her interns can make her decisions for her wherever she is.

My mother is about her age so I can’t be gleeful at Ginsburg’s current state of health. I love my mother.

Bad juju.

However, I fear Mom might fall and her health taxed trying to heal the broken bones.
And she doesn’t have the stress of listening to lawyers all day.

If RBG tries to get back to the court before healing she will not last long.

The clock is ticking a bit faster...
