IMHO, the birther debate is a non-debate because it doesn’t matter where he was born anyway. I believe the founding fathers meant “natural born citizen” as “citizen at birth” — which means kids born to citizens regardless of where the birth occurred.

So not a citizen who was naturalized.

I don’t agree, but for the moment, let’s say you’re correct. Then why all the name-calling and record changing once he ran for president? Why not just say I was born to an American mother in Kenya and therefore I’m qualified to run for president?
