Just based on the shooting location and the perp, my theory is:
1. Incel
2. Guy who lost his girl to someone at bar
and then distantly
3. Guy who assume country-western people are Republicans
4. Dishonorable discharge guy mad at world
I don’t see at this time a mental connection between being a former Marine and a C and W bar full of college age students. Probably a nut disenfranchised from society as he saw it.
My guess a life long loser who could not cope with being rejected by the culture so he joined the Marines and was a general discharge eventually and viewed the student group as those who were “chosen” in life. That area and those schools are not inexpensive to attend. Not a racial or religious thing IMO. (shot the girl at the entry gate, why, she was not a threat). Loser.
BTW, I thought this could not happen in a state which has pretty much banned these mags and firearms.
And/or PTSD, maybe.
Psychotropic drugs, just like all the previous... Why this very real logical pattern is so hard for society to accept is beyond my imagination.
Someone should find out what kind of anti-depressants he was on, too. That’s a common factor on these shootings.
Shooter seems to have been familiar with the place - immediately took out the security guard, shot the cashier and headed toward the office.
He couldn’t legally own or purchase a pistol with a Dishonorable.

Judging from the people I saw on the news this morning (one with a MAGA hat and another with a Reagan t-shirt) that was a pretty sound assumption.
