Why’s Tester doing so well with independents?
Tester is buttered toast.
Rats are in denal about tomorrow. A few Rat wins here and there won’t change the overall picture.

Montana, like many states, doesn’t register voters by party so an “independent” voter there is someone who simply says they are.
In the majority of cases (going by election results), a person who claims to be “independent” is just someone who is too delusional or gutless to admit what they really are — a liberal. So naturally a Democrat candidate would do well with a group such as that: “Democrats in all but name”.
