What I do not understand about all of this, what makes no sense to me at all, is this: If the liberal analysts are correct and the number of illegal votes cast is statistically insignificant, why not just reassure what (I believe) is likely the majority of legal voters who think that they are being disenfranchised by illegal voters and that many democrats who hold office do so illegitimately. Why not, since we are taxpayers and citizens, let us have the assurance that the govt we have, has been honestly elected and truly represents all of the people. Why not spend the next 2 years making sure that every citizen has the documentation necessary to legally register to vote and put the question to rest once and for all?

Because, to the left, if you’re a citizen, you suck. You are old, probably remember a time when it was applauded that you think for yourself. Now, that’s grossly undesirable.

Since this is not the EU, I think requiring a BC to vote or obtain a DL is a bit much like ‘presenting papers’. The BC being a very private document and so subject to supreme identity theft. Not to mention, forcing everyone to jump through yet another privacy invasion hoop is an insult to legacy Americans. And, what about hetero women? We get married and divorced and married again - so our BC name is not going to match our DL name or our SSN name.

A better solution, that does not demean-the-whole, is to remove the illegals, yes, all 20 million of the line-jumpers, and limit immigration from this point forward to those who have applied through the legal process, giving priority to those who’ve waited over 5 years. Otherwise, we’re just avoiding the problem at the core, which means the problem will increase, instead of solving the problem and ending an issue.

Because the liberal analysts are lying. Illegals vote in droves and having to show id thwarts that somewhat.

You both must know the answer to this. They’ll have zero interest in validating the integrity of voting. All you’ll hear is that there’s almost no fraud while obstructing any effort to prove it is the case....because...fraud.

Voter drives - register people who don’t vote, get their names, address, and signature. They’ll most likely not vote, so the dems can just mail it in. Even if they do go and vote they just get told they’ve already voted - how many will do anything about it???

Obama has pushed “yes to Proposal 2” in Michigan. I wasn’t sure about it but when I saw his position it, of course, made up my mind - instantly - to be “no”. It’s about gerrymandering and the attempt to “put the power into the hands of the people and out of the hands of politicians”. Yeah, a state that has been blue for a long time, the second it goes red, all of a sudden, they want to lock in the district lines. This “solution”, if passed, would FOREVER remove my influence and lock it into the Michigan Constitution.

They’re masters of gaming the system, making sure that they can claim ignorance while maintaining that anything that improves transparency will “disenfranchise minorities”. The thing is, they have to up the ante now - too many have left the party.
