What Leftists have are deep stores of denial. They live with a paralyzing fear to go beyond their comfort zone into reality. They don't know history, but think they sort of do as they draft on the slipstream of the prejudices of their social set. They pay attention to only a handful of information sources that are ideological and intellectual "safe spaces." These sites, stations, and printed materials have been purified of any points of view that would cast doubt on the Progressive project of the moment. Leftists can only face life and the dawning awareness of death to the degree that they feel socially special and in good graces of their peers.
Their universe is precarious because it doesn't exist.

One thing I saw from the get-go is that Trump has enough emotional security to be OK with letting his enemies underestimate him. Sun Tzu would approve. Street fight, chess game or business deal, always better to be underestimated and looked down upon, if your end goal is to win.
I think it is wonderful that these training programs are coming back .

This is dead wrong, and that is where they all go wrong. In their arrogance they rest their case on unexamined assumptions. For instance, their "superior powers of articulation" are measured against whom? The Bushes, all of them the most inarticulate politicians imaginable, not one of whom can cogently state his case, like, oh say "#fakenews," which in one word undoes hours of screaching and wailing and tedious recitations about "nuances."
Or, "deep stores of knowledge," which myth Ronaldus Magnus dispatched with his fame statement that "liberals [progs, let's be clear here, lets not cede them the Liberal label any longer] "know so many things that aren't so."
His "dumb followers" can fix toilets, build buildings, wire up light switches and all sorts of things that send my progressive neighbors in DC to the liquor cabinet any time they have to think about. Becasue they have no clue how to do these things themselves nor what kind of trade, skill or craft to hire to do it for them [at an outrageous hourly rate because the progs have constructed thins around DC so that normal folks with marketable skills can't afford to live here]

Back in the early nineties, my son was in high school and took a wood-shop class. After graduation, he went into the Army and after serving 20 years, recently retired and found a good defense-related job. Also, in his (very little ) spare time, he has set up his own wood shop and makes REALLY beautiful wood items.
I still have the things he made in HS, and truly treasure them, but even more am grateful that he learned the value—and joy—of “MANUal—as in HAND —labor!
So, it makes me really happy to see that there is some hope that schools might be encouraged to start teaching “manual arts” again!
Also, the idea of deploying thousands of U.S. troops to repel and even fire on the caravan is repellent, fascistic and probably unlawful. Still, several thousand people are pushing their way to the U.S. border with the idea that they will find a way to push their way through it. If they do, tens or even hundreds of thousands more will surely follow. It’s perfectly reasonable for fair-minded voters to wonder how the U.S. will vet and then absorb even a fraction of them (though I think we easily can)

The Liberal/Progressive "knowledge base" appears to ignore and/or erase any reference to, or acknowledgement of, the Source of all wisdom; therefore that supposed "knowledge base" is empty and illusory.
