ABC News White House Correspondent Tara Palmeri revealed that Alec Baldwin once told her "I hope you choke to death" when she was on assignment for the New York Post, according to a Friday afternoon tweet.
Palmeri's tweet came after the actor's arrest and charge for misdemeanor assault in a fight over a parking spot.
Alec Baldwin also told me "I hope you choke to death" when I was on assignment, staking out his house," Palmeri wrote of an incident that she said happened in 2013 when she was a reporter for the Post.
Palmeri alleged that Baldwin also grabbed her arm. The Post said the reporter played an audio recording of the actor's threat to the New York Police Department.
Baldwin's talent agency CAA did not immediately reply to a request for comment from Baldwin from The Hill.
On Friday, an NYPD spokeswoman said that a dispute over a parking spot allegedly resulted in a man being punched after getting into the space Baldwin wanted.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 49-years-old male conscious and alert with injury to his left jaw,” the NYPD said in a statement.
The man was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition, officials said.
The actor and talk show host, whose credits include "Glenarry Glen Ross" and is most recently known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of President Trump on "Saturday Night Live," has had run-ins with reporters and photographers before.
In Nov. 2013, Baldwin called a photographer a gay slur that was caught on camera on a New York City street. The incident led to the cancellation of his MSNBC program, "Up Late" a short time later. The program had lasted less than two months.
Baldwin is currently hosting "The Alec Baldwin Show" on ABC, which has been seen low ratings since launching earlier this year.

Their short term goal with choking is to make you stop talking. Their longer term goal is to make you stop even thinking about talking if it’s something they don’t want to be heard.
Baldwin has always been a loose cannon. Only problem is hasn’t gone off on the right person.
