I’m afraid no matter what comes up, people in WV are perpetually sold on “Old Joe”.

Lots of yard signs in WV saying "WV coal miners thank Senator Joe Manchin". I listened to the debate between Joe and his opponent. When asked about his support for Hillary after she said she would shut down the coal mines, Joe had the most long winded, preposterous story I have ever heard in a debate, or maybe anywhere. He talked about how he went down to see her when she came back to WV (for reasons he didn't specify). So he saw her and she told him "she didn't know how bad it was" and that the first thing she would do as president is send Bill to WV to work with Joe to send a couple trillion in pork projects.
