Fox News topped MSNBC and CNN combined in the cable news ratings race for the month of October, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Overall, Fox averaged 2.8 million total viewers in prime time, up 25 percent from October 2017. MSNBC placed second in the category, with 1.58 million viewers, while CNN finished third, with 931,000 viewers, during the time period.
In the key 25- to 54-year-old demographic advertisers covet most, CNN fared better than MSNBC, averaging 290,000 viewers to 281,000. Fox News won that category with 540,000 viewers.

Nobody wants to watch Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper? I’m shocked.........
Nobody want to hear the pontificating of Chris Cuomo?
I will say that Fox news, except for their prime time opinion shows, is just another outlet of the Ministry of Propaganda.
Those are rotten numbers for all the news nets.
Earth to FNC: Twice nothing is still nothing.
So basically speaking two out of three people that watch cable news will likely vote republican????
Hannity carries Fox. They wouldnt be on top without his rating
It’s all “Infotainment.” Made to entertain and promote an agenda. In the case of CNN, it’s just out and out DNC propaganda.
I never watch CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC or CBS. I growing tired of Brett Baier on FNC too. My prime time shows are Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson, Hannity, and Ingraham unless there is a soccer game to watch.
The fascinating thing is that CNN doesnt care. The executives , the producers, the hosts...allbof them dont care that they averaged lest than a million viewers over the month. They will push their narratives and agenda and the over the top attacks on Trump come hell or high water. I dont know how they stay afloat
The wallpaper and scenery channels would probably do better than MSNPC and NPCNN.
Fox is going to play all the anti-Trump CNN & MSNBC clips endlessly on their shows anyway.
Good for them but I can’t stand FOX any more than the others. Except for 3 hours in the evening they’re every bit as awful as CNN.
There is no news on TV, regardless of what they decide to name their companies.
Fox is still preferable to the other Marxist Liberal anti-Trump shows, however, I am sick of watching Tucker Carlson’s furrowed brow and look of shock, as he interviews Liberals, like grinning, arrogant Chris Hahan. Why is Tucker incapable of shutting them down as they babble Marxist talking points. Tucker could start with confronting them with the facts and point out their BS. I’m also tired of Hannity repeating himself every night while he interrupts guests like Joe DiGenova who I would prefer hearing over Hannity’s repeated litany. Gretchen Carlson’s show is boring, IMO. Lou Dobbs and Laura Ingraham seem to get more pertinent facts out each day.
All said and done, Fox is still preferable to CNN, MSNBC, NBC, etc.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was only one or two REALLY honest news stations instead of having to seek out the truth on our own? While I am not 100% sold on Fox News, yes, it does overshadow the rest.
If FoxNews added a few more conservatives to their daytime lineup the numbers would be even higher...
MSNBC and CNN suck!
I record Fox and Friends, The Five, Tucker Carlson, Hannity and Laura Ingraham and watch them faithfully. Their shows are awesome because they are smart and educated people who have long experience in government and the political world. The left is always represented even though they have to explain their views. Without FOXNEWS, Rush and all of talk radio, and the few conservative sites on the internet, we would have a hard time knowing what is going on. Of all those with left wing perspectives, I have the most difficulty hanging in there with Juan Williams on The Five. He seems like his hate for President Trump is going to cause him to explode most days. It is hard to listen to his one-sided, harsh and irrational comments. I have heard that he has sons who are conservative. How did that happen?
Now that we have OANN, we’re watching it more and more. And now we have the guy I thought was a stalwart conservative, Lou Dobbs, groveling and kissing his bosses a$$es rather than standing up and allowing his guest to have their say. I guess when he’s on the horns of the dilemma “a paycheck or the truth.” he comes down on the paycheck side. Hannity is all horn and no driveshaft, and as you point out, rudely interrupts his guests. I wish that DiGenova would say “Sean, if you want me to talk, shut up!”
And that doesnt include the FBN viewers
