Unfortunately CTH only has our spidey senses to go with. However, our antenna has been looking at one specific person since he was initially put into the 2016 campaign as an advisor on security matters. Those of you who have read here a long time will note the reasons for our long held suspicions….
There was always something sketchy about Decepticon former Representative Mike Rogers; and former head of the House Intelligence Committee; being on the Trump team as a national security adviser to the campaign.
The guy is brutally ‘Deep State‘ sketchy.
Way back in 2014, when HPSCI Chairman Rogers and Charles “Dutch” Ruppersberger penned that stunningly obtuse and ridiculous Benghazi report; we knew something was terribly afoul in both the intelligence community and the congressional oversight therein. For the sake of absorption I won’t repeat it all here, but GO DEEP and you’ll see it clear as friggin’ day:
2014 – The Rogers/Ruppersberger Report is specifically designed, by wording, to provide political cover to both parties – Republicans and Democrats within the Gang of Eight particularly included, and protected. It is professional obfuscation in structure, content and wording. (link)
Representative Mike Rogers retired immediately after writing that insufferable cover-story.
So how did Decepticon Rogers come to be an advisor to the Trump campaign?
When Rogers joined back in 2016, CTH kept asking who would be stupid enough to hire this notorious deep state operative as a campaign adviser? The entire set-up looked sketchy as heck. In hindsight it sure does make sense now.

When Mrs. Submareener and I were contractors at the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA), Mike Rogers came for a tour. Both our “Spidy-Senses” went off the charts with this guy. There was something very “greasy” about him.
So, Christie brought him in, it does awaken the spidey-senses.

How about Jeff Sessions, whom Rosenstein told a meeting full of people, would support ousting Trump in a 25th amendment plot.

Joe DiGenova just brought this up on Howie Carr’s show. He knows who it is and said he’s a familiar name to most. Howie asked if he will be prosecuted and DiGenova said probably not but if Papadopolous’ case goes to trial he’ll be a very poor man.
Some of this rush to hire “advisers” started with the Op-Ed piece signed by a large group of anti-Trump republicans who said Trump had no experience in foreign affairs and didn’t have much of a staff. Within 2 weeks Trump announced about 50 new appointments, which included both Carter Page and Papadopoulis among others.
It is pretty obvious that the FBI then ran their ops at several of these people, and no surprise that some of them were double agents.
I can’t speak to the inside spy angle, but the record is clear that both Page and Papadopoulis both had multiple run-ins with multiple agents. One theory which I think the record supports is that the FBI and other intel agencies sent several operatives at them; first to plant ideas in their heads about Trump having Russian support, and then to solicit the information that was planted from them which would then be used as evidence to support this phony “Russia collusion” narrative.
Note that Page was never charged with anything, and Papadopoulis only convicted on one count of lying about something minor (14 days in jail penalty). Page had already been an agent for the FBI in anti-Russian stings in the past, there is no way Mueller was going to touch him. But they had run ins with the English professor and the Maltese professor; and Papadopoulis denies ever saying anything to the Aussie ambassador and doesn’t even know why he was invited to a cocktail hour meeting with him - but does remember being asked directly by the ambassador about Trump’s access to HRC electronic records and of being fed rumors to the like by others.
In a way Trump set himself up by making sarcastic remarks on the campaign trail things like “you know the Russians have the emails” and “maybe Putin will release the emails”. To me, he was just being bombastic. But to those trained the dark arts they saw it as an opportunity to play it out and make it appear like there was collusion.
Whether the op-ed was part of the plan (I wouldn’t put it past them; they push an op-ed saying he is weak in this area hoping he would then fill a roster of people in which the intel agencies would then have an opening to plant spies and frame the unwitting). Papadopoulis himself was added to a list of members of a London based international relations group which he seemingly had no part of; and by virtue of having his name on the list he was put on a short list by Trump team when they scrambled to fill seats on his “international advisers” teams.
Many little tidbits like that which are suspicious and deceptive.
It is the Deep State and I wouldn’t trust any of them as far as I could throw them and he’s been around for a while.

Eric Holder was at a private fundraiser and told the DEM zealots to leave Sessions alone, and Sessions would surprise everyone.

The op-Ed may have been written by the CIA itself. Trump was better off with his very small set of advisors whom he knew personally.
Indeed, look at how much he has done with just his close friends and family. Kushner has been by his side on NAFTA, North Korea, and is leading Trump’s voice for Middle East peace negotiations too.
That New York City construction business must be one tough industry if you can learn the skills to settle international trade and peace negotiations. :-)

DiGenova seemed to paint Rogers as a good guy - said Rogers warned Trump that what he was being told by the intelligence team then in place during the transition was false - also said that the “spy” for the FBI has been and apparently still is in place in the administration and is a well known name - Howie guessed he knew who the person was and said something about this person once having had a radio talk show - very intriguing.....
He’s also the one that told Trump he was being spied upon and blew whistle regarding FISA abuses.
Who? I think you are referring to NSA Director Admiral Michael Rogers. Different guy than the Congressman Mike Rogers referred to in the article.
Different Mike Rogers. The Mike Rogers in the article is a former Congressman. Admiral Mike Rogers is head of the NSA. Easy to get confused.
There are also several James Baker’s floating around DC, and a few with the last name Page. :-)

Ah - didn’t realize that - thanks for clarifying - makes sense now - the NSA Rogers sounded like a standup guy who was looking after the interests of the country, not the deep state.....
Well ironically you can’t get much deeper state than the Director of the NSA. But it seems that Admiral Rogers is a patriot and stand up guy. He caught wind of the scheme against Trump because as head of NSA he saw the massive increase in unmasking of transcripts that Susan Rice was authorizing on behalf of the Obama White House. She was basically unmasking everything she could get her hands on hoping to find the name Trump or a Trump associate on the USA end of the call.
He followed the lead and discovered it led to the fraud on the FISA court. When the FBI caught wind that Rogers was going to submit evidence to the court they did an end-run and modified their warrant request to include a small reference that the dossier was funded by a political campaign. (Of course they did not refer to Clinton, or even “Candidate #1” the way they referred to Trump as Candidate #2. Had they told the court explicitly that the dossier was paid for by the opposition campaign the court may have taken a more dim view on allowing the warrant, though that is speculation. The court has basically acted as a rubber stamp for whatever the FBI asked.
Once Trump won the election, Rogers went to Trump tower to inform him of the conspiracy. As has been the case all along the media immediately mocked Trump but he was right.
