All my life I have reminded fellow Jews in America that we are the luckiest Jews to have ever lived in a non-Jewish country.
I know an Israeli. He was born in France, but he family chose to emigrate when he was a child, because even then French antisemitism had risen to frightening levels.

America's uniqueness has been exemplified by the fact that Jews do not need armed guards in their synagogues.Nor do did Christians need armed guards in their churches...
