I am sincerely trying to find some safe remedies/answers to resolve my worsening stomach problems. Having has a long history of doctors not understanding my symptoms and prescribing treatments that have only served to exacerbate my issues, I always do extensive research. I carefully study potential side effects as well as reading reviews from other people to determine how wise an OTC product or home remedy might be for me. Finally, I investigate how other drugs may interact with my current prescriptions and how even others could make things worse. Hoping for some concrete answers soon because I want to enjoy my life and become more physically active again to also enhance my well-being.

I’m impressed with your thoroughness but not surprised as people on this site are amazing. Is there something in the Prevention publications or the Consumer Reports Health issue that could give you leads?
I know I had to gather data, write out my symptoms and plead with my MD to give me thyroid pills. She only allows what I call a “sports score system” where she does what no one will criticize her about since blood tests show the proven common thing for MDs to do (defensive medicine in case of malpractice lawsuit). I did the diagnosis myself and she grudgingly later admitted I was right.
I wish I had a doctor like Dr.Dean Ornish or Dr.Mehmet Oz (both celebs). They believe we can improve and change for the better beyond fate shown in relatives’ passed down DNA when we are conceived. I believe in freedom!
Keep getting better and lower your stress during this period. Turn off the news. Trump and our very own fellow FReepers will get us through everything.

My history with doctors is that it seems that the majority shares a blanket cookie-cutter approach, while ignoring how we are all unique individuals.
I try to follow orders as much as I can, yet I know what my body will tolerate and I realize I have to protect myself.
I do like Dr. Oz who seems to focus on natural healing and preventive medicine.
Finally, relating back to how INTENSE election night was two years ago, I am planning to again spend most of the evening in from of my computer and following all the returns here on FR. I sincerely hope I am able to curb the stress as much as possible and it will be comforting to share another crucial election with our wonderful FReeper family.
