Far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro is heading for a sweeping victory in Brazil's presidential election, according to exit polls.
The polls suggest Mr Bolsonaro has 56% of the votes and his rival from the left-wing Workers Party, Fernando Haddad, has 44%.
Mr Bolsonaro campaigned on a promise to eradicate corruption and to drive down Brazil's high crime levels.
The election campaign has been deeply divisive.

Those darn right-wingers!!
Hope to see some crying faces of Leftists.
Brazil is going to need strong border with Venezuela collapsing the way it is.
[ With more than 90% of the vote counted, Mr Bolsonaro has 56% of the votes against 44% for Fernando Haddad from the left-wing Workers Party.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Big time win... ]
YUUGE!!!
Yep it is deeply decisive to want corruption ended
Saying one will eradicate crime doesnt garner votes either. People love crime
Is he far right?
So Jair Bolsonaro is a “far-right” candidate. Odd that Fidel Castro or Barack Obama were never referred to as “far-left”.
The Donald Trump of Brazil.
I enjoyed the failing NYT screeching about him. Far-Right, indeed.
I look forward to our gracious President Trump hosting a state visit to the White House for the newly elected President of Brazil. And, of course, the bitter tears of the corrupt MSM.
The BBC, viewing the world through their Leftist lens, always believes that the rejection of globalist Socialism promotes divisiveness. Countries can only be unified if conservatives surrender their cash and culture to the Left.
The Amazon is a pretty strong deterrent to migration.
The jungle not the shopping site;)
There’s still hope !
Maybe it will put a boot in the rear of Argentina to get their act together.
Brazil has massive economic potential, but too much corruption. If this man can break that, watch out.
“Good news for Brazil...”

Our stock decline lately is probably reflecting the uncertainty of the House of Representatives. When the dems fall short it will rebound.
“divisive” = not obedient to Leftist overlords. If only everyone would submit, there would be no division.
Excellent.
Hope he will bring major improvements to Brazil.
56 percent sounds to be rather a mainstream candidate, hardly far-right.
