If this were Austria in the 1930’s, even before Angschluss (unification of Austria with Germany and German troops), any negative comments about Fascism (German or Italian), would have gotten you convicted just like Wolff was. Just ask the Holocaust survivors of Austria what it was like to criticize Hitler and his Fascists.
My late friend used to get beaten up regularly at Gestapo headquarters in Vienna after the forced merger simply because he was a leader of a Jewish Health/Athletic organization.
However, when they were through beating Bill, he would crawl out on a window ledge and listen to the Gestapo plan their next actions, which he was able to pass on to other Jews and urge them to get out of the country.
[Eventually he was able to get a visa to the US but he gave his sister an earlier one for a ship that was going to America through Yugoslavia. Tragically, the German invasion of that country caught the ship in port and all the Jews on it were shot, including his sister).
Gee, I thought we had wiped out fascist intolerance. Looks like they missed something in the European Court, like a history lesson.
Another good reason for sane European countries who want to remain “European” to pull out of the European Union, Court, etc.
Tell the E. Court to shove their fascism up their insane asses while repeating “Seig Heil” a hundred times, just for old time’s sake. I’ll bet that some of them know how to do that already.
