And they all were enabled by the same pediatrician stance that these parents appeal to reverse. And the final sad result is a freak mutilated unethically by a US physician. And she is likely sterile, or will be fairly soon.
And it will get worse because she will not grow past 5’2’ and has a face like a pixie and narrow shoulders and still appears exactly like a girl with little hands and delicate features.

My dearest friend is San Francisco, the most beautiful woman I ever knew, may God rest her soul, had one child, a girl who was never ever even slightly pretty or. feminine. She took the kid to doctors, did everything she could to help her become a regular girl with no success. Then, when gay pride came in, the daughter identified as lesbian. Mom was out there on her side at the first Gay Pride parades. Daughter was of age then, but there were no surgeries.
Mom died, and then the daughter had the surgery. I knew her well. Very bright, pleasant likable person. IMHO, she could have gone either way, and my husband thought so too. But she always knew she was a boy.
I’m conflicted on the whole issue and very sure that surgeries to change sexes are evil to the max before the age of puberty. After 18 or 21, people are free to do whatever they wish with their own bodies/
But then, I lived in San Francisco at the very beginning of the AIDS epidemic, knew a lot of gay fellows because I was in the world of theatre. AIDS was scary, but gay guys are not. It’s all very complex, but I think there is a place for gay people in the world. Just so they don’t recruit.

I have a dear friend whose family is living through this hell right now, and believe me when I tell you that the child was reared in a large, devoutly religious family, and at no time was any of this trans-nonsense EVER promoted.
The kid declares herself “fluid” and promptly threatens suicide. The docs take her into a psych ward and immediately begin calling her by her new “trans” name. They mock my friend for having deeply-held beliefs, and offer NO alternative advice to the family. It’s awful for them, and it’s tearing them to shreds.

every state has a Human Rights tribunal that is populated by leftists of varying sexes and non sexes. That is a court of appeal along with the state’s medicaid department to get sex changes covered. .

The situation you describe has been happening nationally for at least 8-10 years and overlapped with the trend of cutting that was endemic in the early oughts. This is not just an occasional issue, but there are dozens out of hundreds of girls who think that they are now no longer female.
I think it has to do with electronics and screens, the internet, the peer pressure, the very high anxiety that these girls present with, and its manifestation as obsessional thinking. I also think that one could code them on the foothills of Aspergers, with traits but not a full diagnosis.
I do not think that we as a species are able to manage the electronics and screens that we have been subjected to for the past 20 years. Screens bypass normal filtering that comes with reading. And these kids have been trained with anime, television, films, school, internet, porn and chat rooms to question their femininity, to dislike it, and to find attention and acceptance in the small sub groups that form with these people and their friends and peers. Very strong juju. Similar in many ways to the EST movement, Scientology, and various other cultic groups in the sixties and seventies.
Also similar to the ritual child sex abuse mania that crossed the country in the nineties.
What does THAT mean? Parents can't tell their sons "Hey! You're a boy" and their daughters "Hey! You're a girl"????

Children should be kept away from public schools and limited in their exposure to these ideas. It’s a threatening time to be a parent in America. I pray for the parents afflicted with these children and hope that people wake up to the finality of these whimsical ideas.

Thanks for educating us all. And this girl-child is absolutely somewhere in the Asperger spectrum and has been developmentally delayed from the beginning. She is socially awkward and mentally like a 11-12 year old.
These social inadequacies have been steered into the latest fad. While she is polite, there are other signs of psychological problems that are not being addressed. Changing the sex is not the cure and the underlying issues will prevail and destroy her/him.
I greatly fear that this one will not end well. Who wants to date an feminine looking tiny boy whose actually a girl? ... besides some one in the bizarre end of the sex-trade.
I think you need to inform yourself more about today’s laws and the primacy of the state.

one of my most interesting observations is that homeschooling and private Christian schooling is not a panacea for this issue.
Trans Christian protected and raised teens are almost as common as other teens. It seems to be how mental illness and anxiety is manifesting in young women and some young men today. I more attribute it to screens and the Internet.
Interestingly, in psych hospitals, patients who have been well known to the system for many years, now have incorporated becoming trans into their delusion content. Not all, but it is noticeable.
Liberals have gone from “if it feels good, it is good, if it feels bad, it is bad” to “feelings are arbiters of truth - if you feel you’re a boy, biology is wrong”.
Transgenderism is the ultimate expression of “thoughts/feelings determine reality”.
