It does take the headlines off the horde of illegals coming from the south, but if it turns out the left did this, it will not go well for them.
I must disagree. Again nothing will come of this. Just another Drive-by media/ Dem/ Commie diversion. Nobody will be found to have done this - as if law enforcement can't find this within 48 hrs.

The narrative that law enforcement “always gets their man” should be taken with a grain of salt.
Belief in this narrative serves as a strong deterrent: Normal risk-averse people considering a crime would think twice if they believed their capture to be inevitable. Of course, this would not deter all types, but there is no doubt it helps.
Reinforcing that belief with the general public is a purposeful LE strategy, and the way they execute that strategy is by repeating public statements that the perpetrator will certainly be caught. Several of these statements I heard today included the argument that “bad guys are just not very smart. They will beat their chest and brag to someone. They always make mistakes. They always slip up somewhere.”
But we know that not all criminals are stupid. Some are very smart. Many, many crimes go unsolved. And many, many criminals never get caught.
The most obvious way that smart criminals avoid being caught is by setting up evidence that points in another direction - frame up a patsy. How hard would it be to pay a mentally ill homeless person to walk a package into the post office? How hard would it be to wear gloves? How hard would it be to avoid Google searches that raise red flags? How hard would it be to keep your mouth shut and have no accomplices who could betray you? How hard would it be to arrange a rock solid alibi? It’s not as hard to get away with a crime as LE would like you to believe.
Next week, when they uncover camera footage, purchase receipts, and a manifesto proving that some right wing white supremacist kook carried out this attack, how will we know whether he was the real perpetrator vs. a patsy that was framed up and manipulated?

The problem with the left (and criminals in general) is that they always believe they will never get caught, that they are smarter then everyone else. I think that is why they do things, and get mad when they get caught. They all went to college and studied Wymyn’s Studies/Social Justice and have 6 year degrees, obviously they are smarter then that donut eating cop or some loser with an engineering degree who is an explosive expert.
