DHS Spox: If You Say the Magic Words, ‘I’m Scared,’ We Let You into America
Breitbart ^ | 22 Oct 2018 | Robert Kraychik

Homeland Security Spokesperson Katie Waldman said migrants seeking entry to the U.S. are essentially allowed in if they claim to have “credible fear” of unjustifiable persecution in their countries of origin. She offered her remarks on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday in an interview with Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House.

Waldman said, “I can you tell you with near assurance that if you say the magic words, ‘I’m scared,’ we let you into the country.”

Migrants from Mexico and South America have been coached by left-wing lawyers on how to best obtain entry to the U.S. via asylum request.

Waldman explained existing laws prevent law enforcement from detaining migrants until their court dates.

“Right now, if we’re able to apprehend a Central American single adult, we’re able to detain them and remove them within 40 days, but unfortunately, because of the Flores Settlement Agreement, we can’t detain longer than 20 days,” said Waldman. “So we can’t even house them or detain them to be able to remove, so therefore we catch, and literally apprehend, border patrol is literally apprehending the folks who come to our border, but then we have to release them because we cannot detain them longer through their immigration cases.”

“Until we can close those loopholes, we’re going to continue to see these caravans and illegal immigration at record numbers,” concluded Waldman.

We’re done if we don’t change this.

“Until we can close those loopholes, we’re going to continue to see these caravans and illegal immigration at record numbers,” concluded Waldman.“

Unfortunately, that is indeed the case. The only to prevent having to admit these invaders is to deploy the military onto the Mexican side of the border, occupying a mile-wide cordon along the border. Once they step one foot inside the US, we’re effed.

This is just my frustration talking, but if this is how the system is being “played” then let us play right back.

Since Mexico has abdicated their responsibility to keep invaders out of their country, we should “invade” a few hundred yards into Mexico with our army and stop them ON THE MEXICO SIDE.

They aren’t a problem for US courts if we stop them on the other side during a military action. It’s a military matter at that point. Round them up, put them on big military ships and kick them off back in Honduras.

Unrealistic, I know. But it’s less insane than our laws now.

Mexico’s military has made repeated documented incursions into America and even fired upon our agents.

The idea is to make them scared to cross the border.

Heard someone on Fox say yesterday that people in the caravan are saying they are coming for jobs, not that they are refugees.

However, the US provides them attorneys, who tell the “migrants” everything they have to do to gain refugee status.

Why can’t Trump and republicans fix these loopholes as needed and do small chunks of immigration instead of stalling for the “Big” law that addresses everything. This is ridiculous.

The real criminals are the congress, Senate and House, who have stabbed a knife in the back of the American people year after year. Congress knows these loopholes; they know how our system is being gamed. And yet these fat, greasy, porcine, traitors, smelling of scotch and urine, ignore the American people, and instead do the bidding of the Business Roundtable and their Chamber of Commerce overlords.

Paul Ryan is public enemy number one in this regard. He has built his wealth and fortune by throwing the American people under the bus. He is a feckless parasite who has had no problem ignoring the number one problem facing the American people. He got his, to hell with our children's future. "Not my problem" saith Paul.

There’s no loophole. ‘I’m scared’ does not fit into the asylum rules. All they have to do is interpret the asylum rules correctly. First they have to go to the first country they come too, not traverse across 3 or 4 to get here. That alone is enough of a reason to turn them away. I’m scared is not fear of political persecution. Asylum was not meant to be because you’re scared of gangs. It was meant as you’re scared of your government.
They’ve created the ‘loopholes’ and could just as easily close them if they wanted to. Don’t be fooled by their ‘nothing we can do about it’ BS.

Bush League Republicans are holding out for “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”, amnesty.
We will get no help from them until we give them amnesty for at least some of the illegal aliens already here.
Any amnesty will set off a tidal wave of humanity.

This is DHS advertising that we effectively already have an open border with the Border Patrol engaged in security theater. We either give up and save the money and risk of totally ineffective enforcement or we keep the illegals away from the US border by any means necessary. Those are the choices.

Time to declare a national emergency along the border and shut down all PoEs with Mexico.

If American families with homes near the southern border say “I’m scared” when thousands of defiant males in their twenties break down border fences and crush security and police lines to swarm across the people’s front lawns, will the government respond?

Probably by telling landowners that they cannot be protected, that they should take no direct action against the invaders and by posting their land as unsafe. All of these actions have already happened to unfortunates who have land that abuts the border on the US side.

Wow.
Really that “unsafe” stuff? I thought I already had the lowest respect for government I could get without becoming a libertarian.

Basic protection of life and limb to assist us in protecting our loved ones in our homes should be a primary goal of the government. Along with enforcing LGBTQ gender self identification rights against us and speech restriction laws, and demanding full payment of taxes of course.

PDJT just needs to do what soetoro did.

Ignore laws and judges he doesn't agree with.

If, for some reason we can't keep them out then they are detained in a tent city run by Sheriff Joe until they can be vetted and adjudicated.
