Trump Tweet on Heller
Twitter ^ | 10/20/2018 | President Donald J. Trump

Heading to Nevada to help a man who has become a good friend, Senator Dean Heller. He is all about #MAGA and I need his Help and Talent in Washington. Also, Adam Laxalt will be a GREAT GOVERNOR, and has my complete and total Endorsement. Winners Both!

TOPICS: Politics/Elections; US: Nevada
KEYWORDS: heller; trump
Note that Trump states, "who HAS BECOME a good friend, Senator Dean Heller" Here's my guess. Heller is a squish. Trump talked to him and let him know that he needs Heller to not be a squish on certain key issues. Heller agreed in exchange for Trump's support.

The President came in as a true outsider, and even threatened to try to work with the Democrats if the Republicans wouldn't deal. Now he has established that he is NOT quitting, and he is NOT going away, and is earning chits with these trips to key states with close elections. Once DJT gets critical mass in both chambers of REAL support, not just when it is convenient, he will get more cooperation from both parties.

McConnell and Lindsey Graham have already upped their game, and the ones who can't stomach it (Ryan, Corker, Flake) are quitting. We no longer have McCain to deal with. We will have Romney, and he is a snake, but he is a freshman snake, and is old enough that he is no longer a broad threat. When needed, Trump can use him as a foil.

Graham was a surprise. Makes you why he was joined to McCain's hip so tightly. (Well, "'Till death do them part." )

Add Collins (squishy, but was able to be side-stepped for Kavanaugh’s appointmen t). And the 4-6 “new” Senators will know they came in because of Trump's support. But the biggest are the large group of Ryan-led GROPElite RINO’s that retired. They're gone. It will make getting ObamaCare and the wall actually taken care of. Finally.

LS? Concur?

I think you are correct. Also, I think Trump is a solid boost in Nevada. The blue collar workers who fill the service industries are generally more democratic, but Trump hits a lot of issues for them, and the fact that the Democrats really don’t like working people much makes them a good target to swing this race.

Methinks Romney has been sufficiently chastised. If he crosses Trump, The Donald will beat him like a baby seal.

Trump pushing even the squishiest of squishes across the finish line, will turn them into tigers.

Early voting in Nevada started yesterday. The local closet point for me was a grocery store. At 2pm there were well over 100 people in line. The manager told me it had been that way since they opened. No idea of affiliation but in 20 years I have never seen lines like this on opening day of a midterm.

Lamar Alexander is watching. Up in 2020. He should quietly ‘quit’ in 2019 and let Trump influence the appointment of his successor. Then there’s Sasse. Trump should slap him around starting in January like he did Flake. Others? McConnell is 100 years old. Up in 20’. Resign and appoint his much younger wife. Inhofe is up there. Plenty of ‘statement’ appointees to choose from including the black Speaker who lost the primary to the skinny pale-face a few years back. Do what Reagan couldn’t.

Then there’s Roberts, Risch and Enzi. Roberts should have been taken out in the last primary. They’re all in their 70’s. New blood needed. Trump’s the one to force the issue. Does this mean Liz Cheney should be in the Senate, deep state and all? Kansascould always elect a Democrat Gov and allow a rat replacement in the event of a croak.

“Methinks Romney has been sufficiently chastised. If he crosses Trump, The Donald will beat him like a baby seal.”

Don’t forget that Heller is the surviving member of the “Three Mormon’s of the Apocalypse” ( the others being Hatch and Flake). Hopefully McSally (yeah she’s not a Conservative) will successfully replace Flake. Hatch “sold” his seat to Romney so we’re only down a net of one. I think that “squish” Heller is lightyears ahead of Rosen.

Jacky Spektor (Rosen) is a Chicago “transplant”

“Rosen was born on August 2, 1957 in Chicago, the daughter of Carol and Leonard Spektor. She attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1979. While she attended college, her parents moved to Las Vegas.”

I agree. Trump is all about leverage. Heller and so many other Congressmen need him now to get re-elected.

Trump now getting highest approval rating of his presidency (and higher than Obama’s was at this time).

Dirty Harry built a formidable turnout machine in Nevada/Vegas. Interesting to watch the early voting totals being posted. I’m more interested in the percentages compared to 2016 for the democrats around Nov. 1...They almost matched it in certain Special elections and Virginia. The numbers are nice now, but we haven’t seen Souls to the Polls and the other gimmicks.

“Come on! People move. No carpet bagger story here.”

And why not? Carpetbaggers from the Northeast and Chicago are the principal reasons states like California, Oregon and Washington ( and now probably Nevada) are turning, or have turned Marxist! If you can’t identify the problem, you will never be able to fix it. Ask yourself, just how California, where Ronald Reagan was our governor and we were a conservative state that was first in the nation in every metric you could name, is now a Leftist Shithole? The only things we are “first in” now are the numbers of welfare recipients, illegal aliens, and our prison population.

Nevada and especially Clark County have been Kalifornicated. When I moved to Nevada 20 years ago it was interesting to find someone over 50 that was born here.

Heller is a diehard never Trumper who is learning that unless he supports the President he is gone.

He would lose this election if not for President Trump’s support. We will vote for him because the President asks us but we won’t trust him.

Heller is a Mormon, right there with Romney. He is arrogant and I believe, expects to be the next Harry Reid.

Our Republican politicians here in Nevada are a sorry lot right now and if they are elected will get in solely because of President Trump. Otherwise a lot of us would be checking the “none of the above” box.
