“Gender should be assigned by genitalia and chromosomes at birth.”

Sex is assigned at birth. Your birth certificate says you are either a male or female.

When you turn 16 you can assign your own gender. You get a nice drivers license with all your gender specific information. However, on the card it still says “Sex (XX/XY)” It is actually a fair compromise. Your gender can be female, but your sex is still male.

right now, there are something like 56 ‘genders’, about half of them ‘gender-fluid’. Each one being used to leverage special treatment for financial aid, hiring preference, promotion preference, and, especially, female sports. And as a basis for ‘discrimination’ lawsuits against the US (you and me). Gender-fluidity creates cheaters that identify as ‘xyz gender’ to obtain special privilege and dilute funds/activities sent aside for women. But could well turn around and be ‘male’ a month later. And if questioned as to eligibility, he’s back to ‘gender-fluid’. There’s no way to ‘police’ cases of gender-on-demand, and no effective way to defend against discrimination lawsuits. So I’m not for ‘age 16 pick a gender’. A person is either male or female, unless they have a very rare medical condition, which we already have protections for. Any other category is just dress-up.
