Trump Ties Sinema to Schumer Even Though She Says She Won’t Support Him
rollcall ^ | October 19, 2018

President Donald Trump, rallying in Arizona on behalf of Republican Senate candidate Martha McSally, sought to tie her Democratic opponent Kyrsten Sinema, to Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer even though Sinema said she won’t support him.

A vote for Sinema is “dangerous” because “it’s for Schumer, crying Chuck,” Trump told rallygoers Friday night at an airport hangar in Mesa.

Sinema, however, has said she would not vote for Schumer to remain the Democratic leader if elected to the Senate.

The Arizona Senate seat, left open by the retirement of GOP Sen. Jeff Flake, is a rare Democratic pickup opportunity in a cycle in which they’re mostly on defense. Democrats haven’t won a Senate race in Arizona in 30 years, and they’d have to end that drought to have any realistic shot of winning back the chamber this year.

Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonzales rates the race between McSally and Sinema a Toss-up.

Sinema in Senate could give Democrats majority someday. Schumer will not her vote.

But vote for Majority or Minority leader is in private and results are not released.

He does not need her vote as leader , He needs her vote on legislation!

I think Schumer is toast if they don’t win the Senate.

Doesn’t matter if she votes for Schumer as Leader or not, or whether ultimately the public finds out how she voted. IF the Dems become the majority party, Schumer will be its leader and all the chairmanships will go to Dems. I don’t see that happening, but it’s what COULD happen.

I love the way they’re all editorializing in the titles now. No pretense at all.

This wouldn’t even be a race if the media reported on Sinema’s comments, including saying she was okay if people joined the Taliban to fight against our own troops. And if they treated Democrats the same way as they treat Republicans, it would turn into a nationwide issue with every Dem candidate having microphones shoved in their faces to ask if they agree with her comments or condemn them like the way they did with Todd Akin in Missouri back in 2012.

This article headline and subject matter is also ridiculous - Sinema isn’t going to caucus with the Republicans and vote to make McConnell the Majority Leader over Schumer.

Sinema is lying, she’ll do whatever Schmucky tells her to do

But she’s not going to win, she is not going to be our next senator. She is being outed for the vicious FemiNazi leftist that she is. She’s being carpet bombed every day, and the momentum is in Martha McSally’s favor.

Illegal immigration is a huge issue in Arizona, and Sinema is totally on the wrong side: she’s against the wall, she wants full amnesty for illegals , and she supports sanctuary cities. She is POISON for our state.

Is Arpaio still in the mix or was that just during the primary?

The Rat running in Tennessee says the same thing. They have to lie to get elected.

Cinema (notice that she’s a drama queen) will do whatever her party leader says. All democrats are puppets on strings, and there is no such thing as a democrat that delineates from their leaders’ wishes. What she’s saying now, is only to get votes, but once in the senate, she becomes another puppet. No doubt, she’s being a puppet now, doing and saying what Schumer and Pelosi and Obama tell her.

She Says She Won’t Support Him

She's right, for a change. She WON'T support him (because she won't be in the Senate).

I would think that the old video of Sinema comparing stay-at-home moms to leeches should see her off. But you know the LSM won’t be playing that at all in the next two and a half weeks.

“I think Schumer is toast if they don’t win the Senate.”

I don’t think so. The Dems never really expected to win the Senate with 26 Democrats out of 35 up for election, including 10 in states Trump won. If they keep the pubs to fewer than 55 they’ll be lucky.

The House OTOH is anybody’s guess.

A vote for Sinema is “dangerous” because “it’s for Schumer, crying Chuck,” Trump told rallygoers Friday night at an airport hangar in Mesa.

A vote for Sinema is a vote for Schumer. It is common for Democrats to pander and lie in order to get elected. Democrats are often at both ends of a policy, for and against, depending upon which way the wind is blowing.

Democrats almost never keep their campaign promises. They make promises only to get elected.
