The responsive laughter makes my skin crawl, Clinton said on Twitter.
Chelsea Clinton called Louis Farrakhans antisemitism dangerous and said laughter in response to it made my skin crawl. Clinton, the daughter of former president Bill Clinton and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, was reacting on Twitter to a Farrakhan tweet in which the leader of the Nation of Islam said Im not an anti-Semite. Im anti-termite.
Comparing Jews to termites is anti-Semitic, wrong and dangerous, Clinton tweeted Wednesday, quoting Farrakhan. Twitter, meantime, said it would not suspend Farrakhan from the site. A BuzzFeed reporter quoted a spokesperson for the company as saying that Louis Farrakhans tweet comparing Jews to termites is not in violation of the companys policies. The policy on dehumanizing language has not yet been implemented.

Farrakhans tweet posted Tuesday was attached to video of a speech he gave Monday marking the 23rd anniversary of the Million Man March, his 1995 rally advocating empowerment for black men.
To the members of the Jewish community that dont like me, thank you very much for putting my name all over the planet because of your fear of what we represent I can go anywhere in the world Im not mad at you because youre so stupid, he said at the speech in Detroit. So when they talk about Farrakhan, call me a hater you know what they do call me an antisemite, stop it! Im anti-termite!
The audience laughed in response.
The responsive laughter makes my skin crawl, Clinton said on Twitter. For everyone who rightly condemned President Trumps rhetoric when he spoke about immigrants infesting our country, this rhetoric should be equally unacceptable to you.
The reference to Trump appeared to be an appeal to leftists who have been outspoken in denouncing US President Donald Trumps bigotry while remaining silent about Farrakhan. Most prominent among these have been leaders of the Womens March, including Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour and Carmen Perez.
Farrakhan has a long history of antisemitism, and Clintons parents absorbed some criticism in August for appearing with Farrakhan on a stage at music great Aretha Franklins funeral.
Chelsea Clinton took flak on social media for the appearance. At the time, she responded by saying her parents could not control whom Franklin wanted to attend her funeral, that she denounced antisemitism and that Im not my parents. Clintons husband, Marc Mezvinsky, is Jewish.
Chelsea Hubbell is just covering all her bases.
Mom, Pop, and Barak will have statements soon. They're thinking about it. Staff is researching what good things termites do. Might have been a positive statement,
And yes, dozens of other liberals, elected and radical, will be silent.
The responsive laughter makes my skin crawl
Chelsea seems to recognize the evil beyond Louie's comments is the impact it has on those listening. Kind of like demeaning a Supreme Court Justice. The damage lasts the short term political considerations.
When will the madness end?
if she put a sound proof solid hood over her head she could not have to hear the laughter or see any thing unpleasant, and we wouldn’t have to see or hear her :)
If anyone needed a burka...
40 years late to the party!!!
If I ever need validation, I sure as hell won’t look for it from a Clinton!
I'll bet it was her Jewish husband who suggested this insightful nugget.
Hubbel’s kid is running for something, somewhere in 2020
Mister Soulja moment.
Chelsea is just trying to have her Sista Soulja moment... only Louis Farrakahn carries a little more weight than a 3rd rate rapper.
Amazing to have nothing to do all day long but tweet. I guess anything to keep herself visible. Pathetic.
> US President Donald Trumps bigotry
A pox on both their houses.
When a party has to look to Chelsea Clinton (or any Clinton) for moral guidance, that party is in a lot of trouble.
Maybe. Having a kid makes you think about these things too.
Shes just now learning that hes an antisemite?
