ISIS RETURNS: Sick terrorists take 700 hostage - Putin issues warning

he Russian leader said the depraved terrorists had expanded its control in territory controlled by US and US-backed forces.

ISIS issued Russia with an ultimatum promising to execute ten people every day.

Speaking in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, Putin said the hostages included several US and European nationals.

Putin told the Valdai discussion forum in Sochi: "They have issued ultimatums, specific demands and warned that if these ultimatums are not met they will execute 10 people every day.

"The day before yesterday they executed 10 people."

Putin did not specify what the militants' demands were.

He said ISIS detained several nationals south of the Euphrates river in Syria.

Russia has been engaged militarily in Syria since September 2015, but has aligned itself with Bashar al-Assad’s regime in opposition to Western nations.

Almost 3,000 Russian troops are currently based in Syria.

The TASS news agency reported on Wednesday that ISIS militants had taken about 700 hostages in Syria's Deir-al Zor province after attacking a refugee camp in an area controlled by US-backed forces.

The officials said the militants had kidnapped around 130 families and taken them to the city of Hajin.

It comes just days after Syria declared the delivery of new, modern missiles from Russia as a new means to not only secure Syria but the entire Middle East as Assad aims to increase his regional allies.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem and Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari spoke together and praised their countries’ victories over ISIS.

Mr al-Muallem said that the defeat of ISIS "will benefit all the countries of the region and the world”.

Over the past seven years, Syria has faced battles with not only ISIS but airstrikes from Israeli fighter jets as well.

Russia had hoped to maintain a balance between Syria and Israel, but, earlier this year, a Russian II-20 surveillance plane was shot down by Syrian anti-air defence during a response to an Israeli air raid.

Following the incident, Moscow decided to send Damascus multiple S-300 surface-to-air missile systems as a way of enhancing their ally’s defences.

Is it dumb of me to ask what US and European nationals are doing hanging out in in Syria’s Deir-al Zor province?

You would think ISIS would know better than to challenge Putin. He’s just someone you don’t mess with. He doesn’t pull punches and he will set an example.

.……..to the extent the 700 hostages are “innocent”, which I have no way of knowing in that area of the world, I’m concerned and hope there’s something the US can do to help.

But, Putin is a killer of untold numbers of people, and a thief of BILLIONS, and the Russian people support him we’re told, and Assad is a gasser of children...reportedly, and ISIS is the lowest form of human existence EVER.

So, why shouldn’t Americans just THINK FY to Putin, Assad and the Russian people in this particular crisis??? (And stay the hell out of this little fracas!)

Attack aircraft zooming overhead as ISIS guys are frantically leafing through their Today’s Quick Russian and Learn English phrasebooks. I could swear this is the part where Obama always gave up after saying “You must stop this, ISIS.”
Don’t Putin and Trump know their own languages?

Poorly written story mixing a hostage situation with missile sales. Claims are by Putin, local families taken hostage in US area of operations. True? Exaggerated?

It’s already ending bad for some of the hostages. Hopefully, it won’t turn into a Beslan-like massacre.

The last pocket of ISIS in Syria, around the town of Hajin, is surrounded and making their last stand. They have taken hostages, as is their SOP.

The Kurdish-led SDF is conducting the cordon and clearing assault on the ground, with coalition air and artillery support. The French actually have an artillery unit on the ground servicing targets.

The last 3,000 or so ISIS are putting up a tough, but ultimately hopeless fight there. Another month or two.

But but but...don’t blame their religion!!!!

Just finished watching some Jack Ryan, Tom Clancy TV show. The entire thing made great efforts to apologize for muslim/islam.... and by doing so...the tv show made very little sense.

The religion of evil is the enemy. Until we realize that, they will beat us day after day after day... We will win the spectacular shock and awe stuff, but inch by inch they will take our lands, take our culture and take our lives.
