St Louis doesn’t trail LA by that much, in spite of being in a much smaller city. Fans are pretty good too. But when it comes to announcers, Scully was in a league of his own. I grew up in SoCal and when you went to a game in the Coliseum or later Dodger Stadium you could hear his voice wafting over the crowd from all of the transistor radios. Even at the Stadium, the game was better with his announcing it.
